theUtmost Evocative of some of my fave tunes from Twinset, it is solid foot-tapping brassy-latin-jazz romp. You can hear the bros' grinning around the mouthpieces on their trombone & trumpet. Feel-good fun, with a healthy serving of swinging cheese on the side. Favorite track: She Who Dares (Remix).

Joshua Woodley It's just such a happy inducing album! Favorite track: Some Other Wonder.

Ed Buckley This is an interesting big band (or so I thought) jazz release with a noticeable Brazilian flavor. Think Don Ellis goes to Rio, sans his more experimental leanings. Upon receiving the CD I found that you have no more than 5 musicians on any track. Overdubbing makes it sound like twice that. I guarantee you Chris Lamkin will have no clue why I think he's owed thanks. :)

Kevin Johnston If I lived the bossa nova life of beach resorts and mountaintop casinos, this would be the soundtrack. Favorite track: Mr. DG.

Brothers Matt and Andrew Colman play trombone and trumpet respectively.

The pair, from Bristol, have been writing together for the last 8 years. Their music combines traditional latin and jazz flavours with contemporary beats and the kind of horn power you would expect from this duo of brass masters. ... more
